The Individual > For Hire > Day-at-a-Time Portraiture

Day-at-a-time portraiture amounts to spending time with a subject, whether it be for a few hours on one day, a span of days or an occasional day over a longer period of time. It allows me, as the photographer, to observe and understand my subject and to blend into the background. It leads to some of the most relaxed and natural images, some posed and some candids, as my subject simply goes about their normal activities.

An afternoon in the mountains with business guru Peter Drucker lead to a widely published photo, such as this double-page spread from Busines Week; rare because he was relaxed and out of a suit.

Here are some other examples: Ed Bradley, Ben Nighthorse Campbell.
